For this project, I worked directly with PBNJ from the early stages: coming up with the name for the company, defining its core values, and crafting its visual identity, reflecting these values back to PBNJ’s audience in a visual way.

Having multiple discovery sessions, in which we gained more clarity about the essence and true character of the agency, informed many future decisions about the look and feel of PBNJ.

Create a bold and recognizable visual identity for a talent agency that wants to stand out among the loud crowd of marketing and talent management agencies.

THE SOLUTION 

Identifying PBNJ’s values helped distill the brand spirit: “Reliable professionals that are playful and cool” — or business casual if we want to sum it up in just two words.

THE PROCESS 

As part of the brand identity, the goal was to create a recognizable and distinct visual language, translating PBNJ’s brand values through bold image collages and an organic touch to each of them.

THE RESULT 

The bold and authentic decisions made during the foundation phase shaped the final result, which differentiated PBNJ from other talent agencies and adjacent competitors.

Hearing compliments about how fresh the brand looks and feels — even beyond the original target audience, never gets old :)

The crystal-clear messaging and the unexpected visuals, relative to its industry, helped keep PBNJ in everyone’s mind who came in contact with it, rent-free.
